Four models in Apple's iPhone 15 lineup come with "completely standard" USB-C ports, with no performance limitations on cables or accessories, according to a report from Ars Technica.
Currently, all existing USB cables, chargers, and accessories will work just fine with the iPhone 15 models.
However, while all four models feature USB-C ports, data transfer speeds vary.
The iPhone 15 base version has USB 2.0 data transfer speeds of up to 480Mbps, while the iPhone 15 Pro lineup supports USB 3 data transfer speeds of up to 10 Gbps.
Also, while Apple has not limited the USB-C ports, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro series models have the same maximum charging power as their predecessors, up to 27W, according to macotakara.
